In Bonn, there is one residence hall dedicated to supporting students of the Faculty of Protestant Theology:

The Ev.-Theol. Studienhaus Adolf Clarenbach e.V. (also known as Goebenstift) is a 40-room facility run by Diakonisches Werk, a non-profit association of the Protestant Church. Address: Goebenstraße 32-36, 53113 Bonn.

In addition, there are several residence halls run by the Studentenwerk (an organization providing social and financial support and offering various cultural activities for students in Germany).

Students might also consider pursuing accommodation in the Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Haus, the residence hall of the Evangelische Studierendengemeinde (ESG) Bonn. For more information about the ESG residence hall (contact). Application forms (German only) are available are available here.

 We strongly encourage students to apply for a room as early as possible, as the distribution of rooms usually takes place on a first-come, first-served basis.

Even though this pamphlet was designed for senior researchers, it includes a number of helpful tips and websites, as well as a list of abbreviations that commonly appear in German housing advertisements.
